Friday
You'll leave your chosen departure point during the early hours of Thursday for a late morning channel crossing to France. You'll then settle back into your comfortable reclining seat and watch the rolling countryside glide past as you travel towards Germany, arriving at your lakeside Hotel in Hemsbach in time for dinner.
Saturday
After a morning at leisure, you'll take lunch at the See Hotel in place of dinner before leaving for a traditional wine tasting (entrance extra) and a visit to Rudesheim's impressive Christkindl Market. Here you can explore the Rhine's most famous wine growing resort and enjoy an early evening drink in one of its many wine-houses to the sounds of live music for dancing. You'll return late evening.
Sunday
This morning you'll have a full day visit to the en-castled city of Rothenburg, with its vibrant open-air Christmas Market. Plenty of free time is available to explore the colourfully decorated stalls and to sample a hot wine toddy before perhaps visiting Kathy Wolfharts fairytale Christkindl Grotto. Late afternoon you'll return to the See Hotel in time for dinner.
Monday
After breakfast this morning you're homeward bound as you leave your hotel and travel through France towards Calais where you’ll taker an afternoon crossing to England. You'll then arrive within your home area soon after midnight.
Your Holiday Hotel:
You will be accommodated at the Seehotel in Hemsbach or a similar hotel of equal quality. Situated on the shores of Lake Weisensee, the Seehotel is perfectly positioned for visiting this beautiful part of Germany. It boasts an indoor swimming pool, sauna, solarium and a delightful rustic restaurant where breakfast and dinner are served. All rooms are well furnished and have en-suite facilities.
