Your Holiday Programme:

Monday

You'll leave your chosen joining point early morning for your channel crossing to France where upon arrival, you'll settle into your comfortable reclining seat and watch the scenery glide past as you travel south towards the Burgundy wine region. Here you'll check into your overnight hotel if you've chosen a 'Blue Ribbon' tour, or continue through the night towards Spain if you’ve chosen our 'Direct Travel' holiday.

 

Tuesday

After crossing the Pyrenees and entering Spain at La Jonquera, you'll check into your luxury hotel in Tossa de Mar around lunchtime, or before dinner if travelling on our 'Blue Ribbon' tour.

 

Wednesday - Christmas Eve

Today is free to enjoy the atmosphere of Tossa de Mar and explore the picturesque walkways surrounding its magnificent historic castle. Afterwards you may care to sample the wonderful facilities offered by your luxury 4-star Golden Bahia hotel.

 

Thursday - Christmas Day

This morning you can enjoy the true spirit of Christmas with a traditional carol service held in Calella's historic church. Early afternoon you'll return to the Hotel Golden Bahia for a Gala turkey lunch with cava, followed by a lazy afternoon for relaxing.

 

Friday - Boxing Day

Today you can just relax in Tossa de Mar or join our included sightseeing excursion to the impressive mountain-top monastery of Montserrat, the home of the famous 'Black Madonna'.

 

Saturday

After breakfast you’ll have an opportunity to visit Gerona, one of the Costa Brava's most historic cities.

 

Sunday

This morning you’ll visit Catalunya's largest open-air market at Tordera, where you can haggle with the locals for those extra special presents and unusual holiday souvenirs.

 

Monday

Today your optional sightseeing excursion takes you into the capital of Catalunya to visit the unforgettable city of Barcelona. A fully guided tour of the monuments and sights is included before having free time to stroll the famous Ramblas promenade.

 

Tuesday

This morning you have an included morning visit the lively Costa Brava resort of Lloret De Mar for last minute shopping.

 

Wednesday - New Years Eve

A free day to prepare for your gala dinner & New Year's Eve celebrations. Cava Champagne is included with your dinner followed by dancing through to the early hours with a free bar and fireworks at midnight.

 

Thursday - New Years Day

A day to rest and recover from last night's party celebrations.

 

Friday & Saturday

Sadly, you'll leave Tossa De Mar after breakfast for England (staying overnight in France on Blue Ribbon tours), to arrive within your home area on Thursday with many happy festive memories.
